Functional Fitness strengthens all of your muscles in an integrated manner to keep them performing optimally for everything you do in your daily life. Functional strength training involves performing work against resistance in such a manner that the improvements in strength directly enhance the performance of movements so that an individual’s activities of daily living are easier to perform. Simply stated, the primary goal of functional training is to transfer the improvements achieved in one movement by affecting the entire neuromuscular system. ACE (American Council on Exercise)
Private Pilates Training
Working one on one with one of our trainers on the Pilates equipment will help to personalize a routine, creating modifications that will keep the exercises safe and challenging. Individuals with knee, neck, back, shoulder, elbow, wrist or other orthopedic concerns or injuries are highly recommended to take private sessions. Several of our Certified Pilates Instructors have post-rehabilitation experience.
Our group fitness classes can accommodate clients of all fitness abilities. Modifications are shown and encouraged if you are just getting started. If you want to be challenged, progressions are also demonstrated for the more experience client. Classes are lead by teachers who encourage clients to move at their own pace or work at their own level. All our clients work on comfortable Pilates/Yoga mats and will sometimes times use stretch bands, light weights, exercise balls, BOSUs, mini trampolines, spinning bikes, TRX and other fun equipment.
Private Personal Training
Working with your trainer you will develop fitness goals and a program to help you achieve those goals both in session and out. Working one on one gives you the added personal attention as well as motivation. Want to take advantage of a lower price point pair up with a partner, friend or colleague with similar fitness goals and level and train together. Both Pilates and personal training offered.
